Adriana Lemus will lead a Valentine’s Mug Workshop at Shindig Cider!
Join us for a basic Valentine’s Day clay workshop at Shindig Cider in San Luis Obispo! We’ll make a ceramic mug to carry your favorite beverage! You will learn the fundamentals of working with clay, including the slab construction process and embellishing with stamps and glaze (paint)! Come alone, with a friend, or as a date night; any way, you’re guaranteed a good time! Adriana Lemus will lead you through this introduction to clay session!
The $75 charge includes cone 5 white clay, all materials and tools for the workshop, glaze and fire, instruction from an experienced ceramic artist, and your first glass of cider (for those over 21). Once your pottery is finished, you will leave it with the instructor, who will take it back to her workshop in San Luis Obispo to be fired, glazed (painted), and fired again. This process takes approximately 4-5 weeks. When completed, your piece will be returned to Shindig for pickup.
Adriana Lemus has more than 16 years of ceramic experience! She studied painting at UC Berkeley and has been exhibiting, selling, giving private classes, and conducting workshops on the Central Coast for the past seven years. Adriana sells her work at Makers Markets and online, and she is now working on commission projects for restaurants, hotels, spas, and homes.
Shindig Cider is dedicated to producing high-quality cider for enjoyable occasions. We strive to produce cider that we enjoy drinking – dry, refreshing, and easy-going – while also emphasizing the depth and character of the cider apples utilized in our blends. Crafted in San Luis Obispo, California, we make everything in small amounts using apples sourced from all over the West Coast. Our ciders represent the region in which they are produced.
Due to the limited seating, we have a strict 24-hour cancellation policy for rescheduling or receiving a refund. This allows us to offer your spot to another guest.
