Guests will prepare Grainbakers’ Spent Grain Artisan Bread Dough.
About the Grainbakers Class
Drake’s weekly Beer Fridays feature one of our most intriguing places. There are food trucks, fantastic music, and a large campus. We hold a class in the lovely barrel room. At the end of the brewer’s day, we’ll transform their fresh, spent grain into a stunning artisan bread. This will be an excellent Valentine’s Day first date, fifth date, or thousandth date, or you may gather the females and have a ‘Galentine’s’ date for this class.
Guests will prepare Grainbakers’ Spent Grain Artisan Bread Dough. After you’ve built your bread, you can add other flavors from our spice collection. This class will include a variety of options, including:
UBE Purple Sweet Potato comes in Cinnamon Raisin, Rosemary & Sea Salt, Dark Chocolate & Cherry, White Chocolate & Rose, Cheddar, Jalapeño & Bacon, and Honey flavors. We welcome BYO inclusions (I love you, Whole Wheat). (Frozen fruits, expensive cheeses, etc.)
The class includes:
A basic sampling
Lecture and hands-on instruction for making artisan wasted grain baked bread.
A recipe and instructions handbook.
Super fun mixing session to make your dough.
One bread in its first rise, ready for baking at home.
Extra spent grain for your freezer, plus recipes for making extra bread
You are welcome to ask a friend to wait for you in class. You can eat dinner together before class, and then they can read on social media over a pint while in class.
