Two-Part Ghost-Style Couple’s Pottery Class
When a Potter marries a Florist, it only seems sense for them to hold a Ghost-style throwing class at their flower store on Valentine’s Day!
Kevin, the Co-Owner and Lead Potter of Poppy + Pot, will teach this two-part workshop (with assistance from his wife, Da’Reen)! It is meant for people who want to try tossing on the wheel but do not have any prior expertise. Join us for a romantic evening of pottery, laughing, light refreshments, and a little wine with your significant other! During this course, you will learn how to throw a bowl on the wheel with the help of a partner, and you will return later to glaze your creation. Will you also be surrounded by flowers? Of course. This class is perfect.
Part 1: Throwing on the Wheel
Friday, February 7th, 6–8pm.
Part II: Glazing
Students choose the date to return at Part One.
When students arrive for glaze day, they will be handed an educational booklet along with their pots, as well as a variety of glaze selections and brushes/tools. They then have the entire class glaze at their own pace. Students can pick up their finished pieces shortly after the glazing workshop; Kev will indicate a date then.
