Shrek The production JR. is based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation feature and spectacular Broadway production.
It’s a “big bright beautiful world” as everyone’s favorite ogre, Shrek, leads a band of fairytale misfits on a journey to save a princess and achieve genuine acceptance. Shrek JR. is an irreverently entertaining show with a meaningful message for the entire family.
An ogre named Shrek formerly resided in a faraway swamp. One day, Shrek discovers that his swamp has been invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad, a small horror with grand ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he is given a task: if he saves the feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be restored. Shrek strives to win Fiona’s heart and defeat Lord Farquaad, but a fairytale wouldn’t be complete without a few twists and turns along the way.
