Sam Stewart and Cody Singleton launched Flagman in Orlando, Florida, in 2015, with the purpose of creating the world’s crispiest, deep-fried alternative metal.
That is, once they discovered a drummer. After a year-long search, Grant Freeman joined the partnership, making them a three. Flagman’s music evokes the eclecticism of the 1990s rock scene, including influences such as Primus, System of a Down, and Mr. Bungle. The band has created a wholly new mix by combining vocalist Sam’s distinctive bass playing, drummer Grant’s driving rhythms, and guitarist Cody’s searing leads.
