Stanford Cardinal Classic Ballroom Dancing Competition, Stanford, CA
Stanford DanceSport hosts a ballroom dancing competition that welcomes student ballroom teams from throughout California.
Stanford University hosts its 19th annual ballroom dance competition, the “Cardinal Classic”.
The tournament will take place on Saturday, April 5th, 2025, in AOERC on the Stanford campus. Events are available to all amateur competitors aged 18 and up.
This Ballroom & Latin dance competition will include competitive events in International Standard and Latin, American Smooth and Rhythm, and Nightclub dances (such as Salsa, Bachata, West Coast Swing, Argentine Tango, Hustle, Polka, Merengue, Blues, and Nightclub Two-step). There will also be performances, a team competition, and other enjoyable activities throughout the day.
Attend as a spectator to watch some fantastic dancing, or register to compete in one of our many competitive events.
Preliminary Schedule of Events:
7:30 AM: Doors Open
8:00 AM – 12:45 PM: Morning Session (Ballroom & Smooth)
12:45 PM – 1:15 PM: Lunch Break
1:15 PM – 5:45 PM: Afternoon Session (Latin & Rhythm)
5:45 PM – 6:30 PM: Dinner Break
6:30 PM – 7:55 PM: Nightclub Events (Salsa, Bachata, West Coast Swing, Arg. Tango, Hustle, Polka, Merengue, Blues, Nightclub Two-step)
7:55 PM – 10:50 PM: Open Level Events and Team Match
