Stephan Bodzin began composing music for several prominent European theaters before falling in love with nocturnal club sounds and embarking on his own techno production career. He impressed straight away and has since collaborated with Marc Romboy on numerous albums, including “Luna” and, more recently, “Kerberos & Styx” in 2014, as well as with Oliver Huntemann under various identities, including Rekorder. The outcomes of their labors have characterized the modern techno scene to this day.
In the club, Stephan Bodzin is a storyteller DJ who leads dance floors on a journey through his various musical influences, as well as an exceptional live specialist who creates mesmerizing, high-impact soundscapes on the spot. Across all continents, he has headlined almost every club or event worth its salt.
In 2015, this Bremen mastermind will release his second full-length album, “Powers of Ten,” as well as a new song on DJ Tennis’ and Tale of Us’ tastemaking label Life & Death. The album is another magnificent effort that concentrates on melody and rhythm, thick bass, and vivid sound design, and it is a truly compelling voyage through the mind, music, body, and soul of one of dance music’s true modern greats. It is merely the latest chapter in Stephan Bodzin’s exciting musical journey.
