Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox Magic & Moonlight Tour, Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, CA
When Scott Bradlee, a pianist from New York City, founded Postmodern Jukebox in a basement in Queens in 2011, his objective was straightforward
to transform contemporary pop hits into the timeless sounds of legendary artists from the past. Miley Cyrus was reimagined as The Platters. Bruno Mars took on the persona of Frank Sinatra. The Spice Girls were reinterpreted as The Andrews Sisters. Guns ’n’ Roses were transformed into Bessie Smith.
Now, almost ten years later, Postmodern Jukebox has established itself as a significant presence in pop culture, having performed over a thousand shows across six continents globally — including prestigious venues such as Radio City Music Hall, Sydney Opera House, and Red Rocks Amphitheater. Throughout this journey, PMJ has introduced audiences to numerous exceptional singers, dancers, and instrumentalists — many of whom have subsequently risen to stardom in their own right.
Part tribute to vintage music and culture, part “Saturday Night Live” for vocalists, a Postmodern Jukebox performance offers an unforgettable journey back in time, creating Pop Music History right in your own hometown.
