After an absence of over 20 years from The Music Center, the New York City Ballet—recognized as one of the foremost dance companies globally—returns with two exhilarating programs.
These performances highlight the company’s rich history, showcasing a lineup of remarkable dancers and an unparalleled repertoire that is certain to enchant audiences in Los Angeles. Established on the innovative choreography of Founder George Balanchine, the New York City Ballet has influenced the ballet canon for more than 75 years. From iconic works by Balanchine and Jerome Robbins, Co-Founder of the New York City Ballet, to pioneering contemporary pieces by Ulysses Dove, Justin Peck, Tiler Peck, Gianna Reisen, and Christopher Wheeldon, this residency presents an unmissable chance to experience the company’s illustrious past and exciting future. Both programs include recorded music alongside live performances by the New York City Ballet Orchestra.
