Metro Art Presents, Bollywood Express at Union Station, Los Angeles, CA
Los Angeles Union Station features a delightful and interactive evening of Indian culture and dance, starring the acclaimed Blue13 Dance Company.
NOTE: An RSVP is requested but not needed.
All aboard the Bollywood Express. Union Station will be alive with Indian music, dance, and community spirit. The iconic Ticket Concourse will be transformed into a brilliant, participatory festival, complete with high-energy performances by Blue13 Dance Company, rhythms from DJ Sandeep Kumar, dhol drumming by Dholnation, henna artistry, and delectable Indian cuisine.

Blue13 Dance Company is a Los Angeles-based American dance theater ensemble recognized for its forceful, rhythmic, and theatrical style that combines modern dance with classical and cultural traditions from the Indian subcontinent. Achinta S. McDaniel, Founding Artistic Director, leads the company in challenging misconceptions of Indian dance and creating emotionally complex works that celebrate varied perspectives. For more over 20 years, Blue13 has toured internationally, performing at notable venues including The Music Center, UNESCO Paris, and Grand Park LA. and brought dynamic narrative to the theater and cinema. Dholnation is a sibling dhol team comprised of two brothers and one sister. We share the same love and passion for music, which distinguishes us from others. Starting in the family room and garage and now delighting audiences all over the world.
DJ Sandeep Kumar has been a fixture in the LA Bollywood/Bhangra scene for more than 25 years. Sandeep has performed at the largest South Asian events locally and abroad, including Vancouver San Fransisco, New York, Cancun, Seattle, even as far as Sri Lanka. Sandeep stays true to his desi roots but loves to share the culture with all who love to enjoy. Look forward to seeing him on a dancefloor near you!
