WHAT’S INTERESTING ABOUT THIS CONCERT
Sofya Gulyak, the First Prize Winner of the 2009 Leeds International Piano Competition, will perform one of the most renowned and demanding concertos ever composed, often referred to as the “Mount Everest” of piano concertos due to its legendary level of difficulty.
Borodin’s Symphony No. 2 is characterized by its dramatic energy and rich melodies, drawing inspiration from Russian folklore. Prepare for a bold and heroic sound that merges powerful rhythms with lush orchestral textures.
