Cali-Reggae group Rebelution has been making audiences feel irie since their debut album, Courage to Grow, was released in 2007, quickly becoming a favorite on the West Coast due to its distinctive mix of beachy rhythms and socially aware lyrics.

Since that time, the band’s popularity has continued to escalate, achieving two No. 1 records on the Top Reggae Albums chart and participating in numerous prominent festival performances. Known for their lengthy jam sessions and remarkable solos, Rebelution is set to deliver even more positive energy during their 2014 tour alongside Cris Cab and Common Kings.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Originating from the tranquil beach town of Santa Barbara, California, Rebelution was formed just a short distance from the ocean — a detail that is evident in their relaxed style of Reggae fusion. After gaining local acclaim through relentless touring along the California coastline, the band made their album debut with Courage to Grow in 2007, which was honored as iTunes Editor’s Choice for Best Reggae Album of that year. The 2009 follow-up, Bright Side of Life, would achieve even greater success, reaching No. 1 on the Top Reggae Albums chart and securing performances at festivals such as Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza. With a new album on the horizon and a busy tour schedule in 2014, Rebelution is well-positioned to reach even higher levels of success.
