Composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist DanielKadawatha goes by numerous names, including Arc De Soleil.
Daniel grew up listening to his father perform the Spotnicks’ songs on his homemade guitar amp, inspired by his father’s love of the band and its soaring guitar-driven sound. Daniel’s early exposure to music affected his decision to become a musician.
For Daniel, composing music for Arc De Soleil represents a return to something inherently natural rather than an experimental endeavor. He draws inspiration from the classic sounds of The Spotnicks and The Shadows, alongside the funk rhythms of Asha Bhosle and modern acts like Khruangbin, to forge a sound that is distinctly his own. Emphasizing strong melodies and stringed instruments such as the guitar and sitar, along with infectious grooves and beats, the music of Arc De Soleil is both nostalgic and innovative.
As a versatile music creator, Daniel has produced music across various genres, from stripped-back acoustic to futuristic synthwave, amassing over 600 million streams and numerous sync placements across his diverse artist profiles. Arc De Soleil is one of these projects, holding a special place in his heart and creative passion.
With a background in live performance, Daniel has supported acts such as Paramore, Tegan and Sara, and Explosions in the Sky, among others, and is set to tour with Paramore drummer Zac Farro’s solo project, Halfnoise, later this year. He also possesses extensive experience in songwriting, production, and mixing, having collaborated with Taylor York (Paramore), Mike Daly (Ryan Adams, Plain White T’s), Evan Frankfort (The 100, Rancid), Evan Taubenfeld (Avril Lavigne), Zac Farro (Paramore, Halfnoise), Veronica Maggio, and Miriam Bryant, among others.
Whether he is working on his own compositions or collaborating with fellow artists, Daniel infuses his music with a passion and commitment that is palpable in every note. Through Arc De Soleil, he has established a musical project that is as engaging as it is personal.
