AFRO ENT and O2THEGBG offer THE LAKE SHOW, “Free Poetry for the People!” An open-air stage where artists can express themselves to the public.

THE LAKE SHOW “Free Poetry for the People!” is an open-air platform for artists to express themselves to the public, providing the audience with the opportunity to hear some of the Bay Area’s outstanding spoken word poets. This Monday, we’ll be having a FREE POETRY FOR THE PEOPLE event with artists performing LIVE at Lake Merritt! O2 presents The Good Bad Buy and UpsideDownGhost! We’ll be playing all of your favorite BBQ and Family Reunion songs to provide a safe and friendly environment for everyone to attend. The Music and Open Mic sign-up list begins at 11:00 a.m. The event will be place at Cleveland Cascade/Lakeshore Ave (across the street from the stairs), with a wonderful view of Lake Merritt as the backdrop. No seating will be supplied. Seating areas are totally open to first come, first served. This is a picnic, so bring a blanket, coolers, and drinks (BYOB!) and spend a wonderful Monday afternoon with family and friends in a safe environment. Early arrival is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for priority seating.
If you want to be a vendor at the event, please contact @O2THEGBG and feel free to set up anywhere near the event space. We welcome any and all small companies to participate in this event for the people of the Bay Area!
