Safe Black Space Kwanzaa Kutoa (Giving) Celebration, Sacramento
Join Safe Black Space in celebrating Kwanzaa and honoring seven local Black families who embody the principles of Kwanzaa.
Every year, Safe Black Space celebrates Kwanzaa’s values while commemorating African Americans’ ancestral heritage. During our Kwanzaa Kutoa (Giving) Event, we celebrate our heritage, creativity, and connection.
The seven Kwanzaa principles are consistent with the mission of Safe Black Space, which works to promote Black welfare. At our Kutoa Celebration, we perform a Kwanzaa ritual and present gifts to seven recipients, one for each of the principles!
This year, we are having a BIG celebration! Experience an afternoon of African drumming and dancing, a Kwanzaa presentation with gift-giving to the honorees, and a feast. Everyone is welcome to join in the spirit of community and unity.
Don’t pass up this opportunity to celebrate culture, creativity, and connection! Please RSVP so that we know to expect you.
