Mohsen Namjoo, a singer-songwriter, music scholar, and Setar musician who flawlessly blends classical Persian music with electric guitar, rock, and blues, will appear on February 14th at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre.
This evening will feature Mohsen Namjoo’s musical prowess through a solo performance of his new “Minooor” Project, followed by a group performance with his Ensemble.
The new “Minooor” Project kicks off the first portion of the program with a solo performance by Mohsen Namjoo, accompanied by videos that serve as an audio/visual trip across a tiny segment of contemporary Iranian history. Namjoo essentially urges us to revisit our auditory and visual recollections, recalling the sounds that dominated our lives in the 1980s.
Following a brief interval, Mohsen Namjoo and his Ensemble will lead a musical journey through our favorite songs from his 13 albums.
