Event Description
Earth Day and Veg Fest are making a comeback at the Palisades Village Green.
For many years, this gathering has united our community in celebration of the land, delicious food, and the essence of the Palisades. Given the challenges our town has faced, coming back to this space together holds particular significance. This year’s event emphasizes community, unity, and reconnecting with our neighbors.
Join Resilient Palisades for an enjoyable afternoon that will showcase a lively array of vegan food vendors, a native plant sale, music, activities for children, and chances to engage with local organizations dedicated to fostering a healthier and more resilient community.
At 11:30 AM, we invite you to participate in a guided nature walk through the park, where our Invasive Plants Removal team will discuss ongoing efforts and how the restoration of native landscapes contributes to long-term recovery.
Food vendors will include popular choices from previous Veg Fests such as:
La Crêpe du Jardin
Tacos Sin Vacas
Soul Feels Good
Cookies A’More
Energy Smoothie Bar
We are thrilled to welcome back cherished vendors from previous Pali Veg Fests, such as Babas Iris, renowned for her exquisite beauty and wellness products.
While the essence of the day revolves around coming together, there will also be chances to gain insights from experts and partner organizations. Representatives will be present to discuss passive houses, clean energy, and solar solutions, along with actionable steps residents can undertake as they rebuild and restore their homes.
Community organizations participating with us include Heal the Bay, TreePeople, and others dedicated to fostering environmental recovery and stewardship in our area.
Native Plants will be supplied by Native Lands Public Nursery in partnership with the California Native Plant Society.
To reduce the event’s environmental impact, Athens Services will be on-site assisting us with composting and zero waste initiatives.
Anticipate a day brimming with delicious food, meaningful discussions, and an opportunity to reconnect with neighbors in one of the locations that has consistently united the Palisades.
Bring your friends. Bring your family. Come with an appetite.
We eagerly await the sight of the Palisades Village Green bustling with activity once more.
