Narratives of Justice, MLK Commemoration, Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, CA

We invite you to participate in a significant MLK Commemoration that pays tribute to the art of storytelling as we persist in our pursuit of justice.

The William E. Pannell Center for Black Church Studies, in collaboration with The Center for Restorative Justice, cordially invites you to the 2026 Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration at Fuller Theological Seminary. This year’s theme, “Narratives of Justice,” encourages us to contemplate the vital stories and experiences that inform our comprehension of justice within our communities. The event will commence with a chapel service on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM in Travis Auditorium, where we will have the privilege of hearing from Dr. Phil Allen, a renowned speaker celebrated for his profound insights into the intersections of justice and faith.

Subsequently, we will gather on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 PM, for an engaging dinner and panel discussion that will unite esteemed elders from the community. They will impart their invaluable insights and personal stories regarding justice in Pasadena and the Greater Los Angeles Community, promoting a richer understanding of the challenges and victories we encounter collectively. We warmly invite you to join us for this momentous event as we together delve into and honor our dedication to the ongoing struggle for justice in our lives and communities.
