Sam Harris serves as the host of the highly regarded Making Sense podcast and is the creator of the Waking Up app, which provides a contemporary method for leading a more examined life through comprehensive mindfulness training and secular wisdom.
Sam Harris serves as the host of the highly regarded Making Sense podcast and is the creator of the Waking Up app, which provides a contemporary method for leading a more examined life through comprehensive mindfulness training and secular wisdom.
Additionally, he is a neuroscientist, philosopher, and the author of five New York Times bestsellers, which include The End of Faith, The Moral Landscape, Free Will, Lying, and Waking Up.
The scope of Sam’s work encompasses a wide array of subjects — neuroscience, moral philosophy, religion, political polarization, and rationality — yet it primarily concentrates on how a profound comprehension of ourselves and the world can alter our way of living.
Having engaged in meditation for over 30 years, Sam has learned from Tibetan, Indian, Burmese, and Western teachers both in the United States and internationally. He possesses a degree in philosophy from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in neuroscience from UCLA.
