One Liner Madness is a comedy show selected as a Time Out Critics’ Pick that tours the nation in search of the finest joke writers.
On Friday, September 19, numerous comedians from Los Angeles will compete against each other in a bracketed, March Madness-style, single-elimination contest focused on one-liner jokes. This rapid-fire competition will narrow down 64 comedians to a sole winner within a mere 100 minutes. The audience’s applause will dictate which performers progress and who ultimately secures the trophy, cash prize, and the esteemed title of ONE LINER MADNESS LA CHAMPION.
Established in 2016 by television writer and comedian Emily Winter alongside live show producer Larry Mancini, One Liner Madness has received endorsements from notable outlets such as NPR, Time Out, The New York Times, The Boston Globe, San Diego Magazine, Axios, Albuquerque’s Daily Lobo, Chicago’s WGN, and many others.
