Black History Month, S.S. Lane Victory Ship Visit, Los Angeles, CA

As part of our observance of Black History Month, we cordially invite you to engage with the S.S. Lane Victory Ship.

In celebration of Black History Month, we are pleased to announce that the Los Angeles County African American Employees Association will organize a series of visits to various locations throughout Los Angeles County that commemorate significant events, individuals, and cultural aspects of African American history. Each visit will concentrate on examining the contributions and influence of African Americans (Black) within the County of Los Angeles.

These visits will offer us an opportunity to learn, reflect, and honor the contributions of Black/African-American residents of Los Angeles. We will pay tribute to the heritage, encourage cross-cultural education, and welcome participation from all ethnic groups, thereby promoting a sense of belonging, understanding, and unity across the County.
