Summary
BHM Unites 2026 is a yearly, student-driven celebration of unity, creativity, and community at Portola High School. This event highlights student talent, leadership, and entrepreneurship through music, student-operated businesses, performances, and interactive activities that unite students, families, educators, and the wider community.
Mission
Our mission is to amplify student voices and talents while promoting inclusive collaboration across gender, background, culture, and identity. BHM Unites commemorates Black History Month as a collective experience that celebrates diversity, creativity, and community through student-led initiatives and significant cultural engagement.
Vision
We aspire to cultivate a school and community culture where students are empowered to lead, create, and connect beyond a single event or month. By remaining deliberately student-led and community-focused, BHM Unites seeks to foster enduring unity, enhance student leadership, and strengthen relationships within the Portola High School community year after year.
